Ars-sur-Moselle (French pronunciation:[aʁssyʁmɔzɛl], literallyArs onMoselle;German:Ars an der Mosel) is acommune in theMoselledepartment inGrand Est in northeasternFrance.

History

Ars-sur-Moselle was a part ofGermany, in the imperial territory ofAlsace-Lorraine,[3] from 1871 to 1918. It was calledArs-an-der-Mosel in German.

Sights

The town has a handsome Roman Catholic church. In the vicinity are the remains of a Romanaqueduct, which formerly spanned the valley.[3]
