Aroundtown SA (former Aroundtown Property Holdings Plc) is apublicly listedreal estate company, registered inLuxembourg. It invests in commercial and residential properties in central locations in European cities primarily in Germany and the Netherlands.[2]
Aroundtown was founded in 2004 by Israeli-born businessmanYakir Gabay.[3] The first acquisitions started in the center of Berlin, in neighbourhoods such asMitte andCharlottenburg.
The company went public on theEuronext Stock Exchange in mid 2015.[4] By 2019, it was the largest publicly traded real estate company in Germany.[5]
Aroundtown invests in commercial and residential real estate.[2]
The majority of the portfolio is located in the cities ofBerlin (25%),Frankfurt,Munich,Cologne,Hamburg,Amsterdam,London and other majorEuropean metropolitans.[1] Approximately half of the portfolio is offices, the remaining is primarily hotels and residential.[1]
