TheArnold Clark Cup was an invitationalwomen's association football tournament hosted bythe Football Association in England, starting in 2022.[1] It was named after car retailerArnold Clark, who signed a multi-year sponsorship deal.ITV acted as the competition's domestic broadcast partner.[2]
Played during the February/March international break, the Arnold Clark Cup took place at the same time as other notable international women's invitational tournaments such as theAlgarve Cup, theCup of Nations, theCyprus Women's Cup, theIstria Cup, thePinatar Cup, theSheBelieves Cup, theTournoi de France, theTurkish Women's Cup and theWomen's Revelations Cup.
England won both editions of the tournament, back-to-back in 2022 and 2023. It has not been held since the introduction of theUEFA Women's Nations League and its link with the UEFA Women's Championship and FIFA Women's World Cup qualifiers.
The four invited teams play each other once in around-robin tournament. Points awarded in the group stage follow the formula of three points for a win, one point for a draw, and zero points for a loss. A tie in points would be decided bygoal difference.
