TheArmenian Catholic Eparchy ofKharput was a moderneparchy (Eastern Catholicdiocese) and remains atitular see of theArmenian Catholic Church (sui iuris (Armenian Rite inArmenian language).

History

It was created on 1 May 1850,[1] on territory inTurkey previously without proper Ordinary of the particular church.

Its seat was in theTurkish town ofElazığ and was suppressed in 1972.

It remains vacant, without a single incumbent.
