Armenia Time[a] (AMT) is atime zone used inArmenia. It is four hours ahead ofUTC atUTC+04:00.[1]
Clock time is about one hour later thansolar noon in Armenia. Consequently, population activity hours are similar to those inParis orBarcelona, which have about the same shift to solar time. They are about one hour later compared to those inBerlin andVienna, and are two hours later than those inWarsaw andNew York.
The former breakaway state of theRepublic of Artsakh also used Armenia Time until its dissolution in 2023.
Armenia does not utilizedaylight saving time (DST). TheGovernment of Armenia issued a decree that cancelled the observance of daylight saving time, otherwise known as Armenia Summer Time (AMST) in 2012.[2]
