Armani Watts (born March 19, 1996) is an American professionalfootballdefensive back for theToronto Argonauts in theCanadian Football League (CFL). He playedcollege football atTexas A&M and was selected by theKansas City Chiefs in the fourth round of the2018 NFL draft.[1]
Watts attended and playedhigh school football atNorth Forney High School.[2]
Watts attended and playedcollege football at Texas A&M from 2014 to 2017 under head coachKevin Sumlin.[3] He was a four-year starter for the Aggies and led the team ininterceptions as a freshman.[4] In 2017, he started 12 games, had 87tackles, 10 for loss, four interceptions, five pass breakups, twofumble recoveries and two blocked kicks.[5] Watts was anAll-Southeastern Conference selection and third-teamAll-America.[6]

Watts was selected by theKansas City Chiefs in the fourth round with the 124th overall pick in the2018 NFL draft, using the fourth-round pick acquired in theMarcus Peters trade.[9] In Week 4, against theDenver Broncos, he recorded his first career sack.[10] He was placed oninjured reserve on October 9, 2018, after suffering a groin injury in Week 5.[11] Watts wonSuper Bowl LIV when the Chiefs defeated theSan Francisco 49ers 31–20.[12]
On April 5, 2022, Watts signed with theIndianapolis Colts.[13] He was set to miss the entire 2022 season after being placed on injured reserve on August 30, 2022 with an injured ankle.[14]
On February 27, 2025, Watts signed with theToronto Argonauts.[15]
