General Bonaparte and staff in Egypt

TheArmée d'Orient (English:Army of theOrient) was the French military force gathered by theFrench Directory to send on theexpedition toOttoman Egypt in 1798. The expedition had the intention of barringGreat Britain's route to its colonies inIndia and was put under the command ofNapoleon Bonaparte.
