TheArizona Complex League Mariners are aRookie-level affiliate of theSeattle Mariners, competing in theArizona Complex League ofMinor League Baseball. The team plays its home games atPeoria Sports Complex inPeoria, Arizona. The team is composed mainly of players who are in their first year ofprofessional baseball either asdraftees or non-draftedfree agents.

History

The team first competed in theArizona League (AZL) in 1988, as a cooperative between theSeattle Mariners and theBoston Red Sox known as theArizona League Red Sox/Mariners.[2] In 1989, the team became an affiliate solely of the Mariners, and was renamed as such.[2] The team has operated continuously in Arizona since then.[2] Prior to the 2021 season, the Arizona League was renamed as theArizona Complex League (ACL).
