Aripara Falls [alternate spelling:Arippara Falls (അരിപ്പാറ)] is a tourist spot inAnakkampoyil nearThiruvambady Town inKozhikode district,Kerala.[1] It is located on theThiruvambady -Anakkampoyil route, 15 km fromThiruvambadi. The waterfall is a tributary ofIruvanjippuzha. There is a proposal for implementing ahydro power project on the Arippara waterfall.[2]
Aripara Falls connects to other parts of India throughCalicut city on the west andThamarassery town on the east. National highway No.66 passes throughKozhikode and the northern stretch connects toGoa andMumbai. The southern stretch connects toCochin andTrivandrum. The eastern National Highway No.54 going through Adivaram connects toKalpetta,Mysore andBangalore. The nearest airports are atKannur andKozhikode. The nearest railway station is at Kozhikode.
