Arion (Japanese:アリオン) is a Japanesemanga series written and illustrated byYoshikazu Yasuhiko, published inTokuma Shoten'sseinen manga magazineMonthly Comic Ryū from May 1979 to November 1984, with its chapters collected in fivetankōbon volumes. A young man kidnapped byHades as a child and raised to believe that his mother was blinded byZeus and that killing the ruler of Mount Olympus will cure her.

Ananimefeature film adaptation, directed by Yasuhiko and co-written with Akiko Tanaka, was released in 1986 under the titleNeo Heroic Fantasia: Arion[a],[3] and has been licensed byDiscotek Media.[2][4]

Written and illustrated byYoshikazu Yasuhiko,Arion was serialized inTokuma Shoten'sseinen manga magazineMonthly Comic Ryū from May 20, 1979,[5][6] to November 1, 1984.[7][8] Tokuma Shoten collected its chapters in fivetankōbon volumes, published from November 10, 1980,[9] to January 10, 1985.[10]

The manga has been licensed in France by publisher naBan,[11] and in Taiwan byTong Li Publishing.[12]
