Arijanet Anan Muric[1][A] (born 7 November 1998) is a professionalfootballer who plays as agoalkeeper forSerie A clubSassuolo, on loan fromEFL Championship clubIpswich Town. Born inSwitzerland, he represents theKosovo national team.[3]
Muric is a product of various Swiss youth teams such asYoung Fellows Juventus,Zürich andGrasshoppers. In 2015, he joined withyouth team ofManchester City.[4] On 27 July 2017, Muric signed a three-year contract extension withManchester City.[5]

On 31 July 2018, Muric joinedEredivisie sideNAC Breda, on a season-long loan.[6][7] On 18 August 2018, he made his debut as a professional footballer in a 3–0 home win againstDe Graafschap after being named in the starting line-up.[8][9]
Four days after debut with NAC Breda, Manchester City recalled Muric from loan to replace injured goalkeeperClaudio Bravo as their second choice.[10] Three days later, he was named as a Manchester City substitute for the first time in aPremier League match againstWolverhampton Wanderers.[11] His debut with Manchester City came on 25 September in the2018–19 EFL Cup third round againstOxford United after being named in the starting line-up.[12][13]
On 9 July 2019, Muric joinedEFL Championship sideNottingham Forest, on a season-long loan.[14] On 3 August 2019, he made his debut in a 2–1 home defeat againstWest Bromwich Albion after being named in the starting line-up.[15] Muric's loan move was unsuccessful, with him serving as second choice goalkeeper behindBrice Samba, and failing to connect with the rest of the Forest squad.[16]
On 18 September 2020, Muric joinedSegunda División sideGirona, on a season-long loan.[17] Eight days later, he made his debut in a 2–0 away defeat againstSporting Gijón after being named in the starting line-up.[18]
On 1 February 2021, Muric was loaned toEredivisie sideWillem II until the end of the season,[19] to replace the injuredRobbin Ruiter as the first choice.[20] Thirteen days later, he made his debut in a 5–0 away defeat againstFeyenoord after being named in the starting line-up.[21]
On 5 August 2021, Muric joinedSüper Lig sideAdana Demirspor, on a season-long loan.[22] Ten days later, he made his debut in a 1–0 home defeat againstFenerbahçe after being named in the starting line-up.[23]
On 22 July 2022, Muric joined Championship sideBurnley after agreeing to a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.[24] Seven days later, he made his debut in a 1–0 away win againstHuddersfield Town after being named in the starting line-up.[25]

On 13 August 2025, Muric joinedSerie A clubSassuolo on loan for the 2025/26 season.[27]
On 22 August 2017, Muric received a call-up fromMontenegro U21 for the2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification match againstKazakhstan U21 and for thefriendly match againstBosnia and Herzegovina U21.[28] Fourteen days later, he made his debut with Montenegro U21 in a friendly match against Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 after being named in the starting line-up.[29][30] In both matches, he played for Montenegro U21 and he was sent off after receiving straight red cards, one for handling the ball outside the box against Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 and the other for headbutting an opponent againstSlovenia U21. Despite previously declaring his will to play for Montenegro after not being called up for thesenior team, he opted to represent Kosovo instead.[31]

On 26 August 2018, theFootball Federation of Kosovo announced that after several months of talks, Muric had decided to play for theKosovo national team.[32][33] On 9 November 2018, he received a call-up from Kosovo for the2018–19 UEFA Nations League matches againstMalta andAzerbaijan.[34] Eleven days later, he made his debut with Kosovo in a 2018–19 UEFA Nations League match against Azerbaijan after being named in the starting line-up.[35]
Muric was born inSchlieren, Switzerland[2] to Albanian[36] parents fromRožaje, Montenegro.[37] He holdsKosovar,[2]Montenegrin andSwiss passports.[7]
