Argiza (Ancient Greek:Ἄργιζα) was a Greek town located inancient Mysia and later in theByzantine province ofHellespontus.[1] On theTabula Peutingeriana it is spelledArgesis and placed betweenPergamum andCyzicus.Pliny the Elder notes the town asErizii and in his day it belonged to theconventus ofAdramyttium.[2][3] In later times it was Christianized and became abishopric. No longer a residential see, it was restored under the nameAlgiza by theRoman Catholic Church as atitular see.

Its site is located nearPazarköy inAsiatic Turkey.[4][5]
