Ardfheis orard fheis (/ɑːrdˈɛʃ/ardESH,Irish:[ˌaːɾˠd̪ˠˈɛʃ]; 'high assembly'; pluralardfheiseanna) is the name used by many Irishpolitical parties for their annualparty conference.

Among the parties who use the termardfheis orard fheis are:

In theRepublic of Ireland, theLabour Party,Communist Party,People Before Profit–Solidarity, and theSocial Democrats do not use the termardfheis; however, it is still sometimes used by the media to refer to their annual conventions in an unofficial way.[17]

Ard chomhairle

Many political parties who use the termard fheis also use the termard chomhairle which means 'national executive committee' (literally 'high council'), and is the governing body of the party.[18]
