Arbor may be named fromArbor Lodge, the estate ofJulius Sterling Morton, the 3rdUnited States Secretary of Agriculture.[2] However, another source speculates that Arbor was likely named for the trees lining the town site.[3] Arbor had apost office from 1894 until 1900.[4]
