TheAqsab Mosque (Arabic:جَامِع الْأَقْصَاب,romanized: Jāmiʿ al-ʾAqṣāb,lit. 'Mosque of the Sugarcanes') is anAyyubid-eraSunnimosque andmausoleum inDamascus,Syria.[1] The mosque is located on Suq Sarujiyya, outside the walls of the old city, near theBab al-Salam gate.[2][3]
The mosque houses a tomb dedicated to Aqsab al-Sadat, or the sevenCompanions of the ProphetMohammed, as indicated by an inscription above the mausoleum door.[2]
