Apollonis (/ˌæpəˈlnəs/;Ancient Greek:Ἀπoλλωνίς means "of Apollo")[citation needed] was one of the three youngerMousai Apollonides (Muses) inGreek mythology and daughters ofApollo,[1] who were worshipped inDelphi where theTemple of Apollo and theOracle were located. The three sisters,Cephisso, Apollonis, andBorysthenis, are also known asNētē,Mesē, andHypatē[2] where their names are synonymous with those of the lowest, middle, and highest chords of alyre, further characterizing the Muses as the daughters of Apollo.
