Apollonia (Mygdonia) in the north, not to be confused withApollonia (Chalcidice) in the south.

Apollonia (Ancient Greek:Ἀπολλωνία) was a town ofMygdonia inMacedon, south ofLake Bolbe,[1] and north of theChalcidian mountains, on the road fromThessalonica toAmphipolis, as we learn from theActs of the Apostles,[2] and the Itineraries.[3][4]Pliny the Elder mentions this Apollonia.[5]

The site of Apollonia is near the modernNéa Apollonía.[6][7]
