InGreek mythology,Aoede/ˈd/ (Ancient Greek:Ἀοιδή,Aoidē) was one of the three originalBoeotian muses, which later grew to five before theNine Olympian Muses were named. Her sisters wereMelete andMneme. She was the muse of voice and song.

She lends her name to themoonJupiter XLI, also called Aoede, which orbits the planetJupiter.
