Antwaun Powell-Ryland Jr. (born February 23, 2002)[1] is an American professionalfootballlinebacker for theCincinnati Bengals of theNational Football League (NFL). He playedcollege football for theFlorida Gators andVirginia Tech Hokies. Powell-Ryland was selected by thePhiladelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the2025 NFL draft.
Powell-Ryland attendedIndian River High School inChesapeake, Virginia. He was selected to play in the 2020Under Armour All-America Game. He committed to theUniversity of Florida to play college football.[2][3]
After appearing in two games his first year at Florida in 2020, Powell-Ryland played in 12 games in 2021 and had five tackles and 1.5 sacks.[4] In 2022, he played in all 13 games with five starts and recorded 29 tackles and three sacks. After the season, he entered thetransfer portal and transferred toVirginia Tech.[5][6] After playing linebacker at Florida, Powell-Ryland converted to a defensive end at Virginia Tech and became a starter his first year in 2023.[7]

Powell-Ryland was selected by thePhiladelphia Eagles with the 209th overall pick in the sixth round of the2025 NFL draft.[10] He was waived on August 26 as part of final roster cuts and re-signed to the practice squad the next day.[11][12] Powell-Ryland was released on September 5.[13] On October 1, he was re-signed to the practice squad.[14] Powell-Ryland was released on November 8.[15]
On November 10, 2025, Powell-Ryland was signed to theCincinnati Bengals' practice squad.[16]
