Antonio Edwards (born March 10, 1970) is a formerAmerican footballdefensive end in theNational Football League (NFL) for theSeattle Seahawks, theNew York Giants, theAtlanta Falcons, and theCarolina Panthers. He playedcollege football atValdosta State University and wasdrafted in eighth round of the1993 NFL draft.[1] In 2000, Edwards was the twelfth pick of theXFLdraft as a member of theLas Vegas Outlaws. Edwards is currently the defensive linecoach of theCollegiate School inRichmond, Virginia.
Edwards attended Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia, and was a student and aletterman infootball.
Edwards was a criminal justice major at Valdosta State. While a member of the Seahawks, Antonio sponsored a reading enrichment program and helped build a playground at Brighton Elementary School in Seattle. He has a son Amahn and a daughter named Ashanti.
