Anthony Morcom

Anthony John Morcom (24 July 1916 – 2 December 1997) wasArchdeacon of Middlesex from 1953 until 1966.[1]

Morcom was educated atRepton,Clare College Cambridge; andRipon College Cuddesdon; and wasordained in 1940.[2] Aftercuracies inPaddington andPimlico he wasDomestic Chaplain to theBishop of London from 1947 to 1955. He wasVicar of St Cyprian, Clarence Gate from 1955 to 1966; Vicar ofSt Mary the Less,Cambridge from 1966 to 1973;Rural Dean ofCambridge from 1971 to 1973; and aResidentiary Canon atEly Cathedral from 1974 to 1984.[3]
