TheState Anthem of the Republic of Buryatia[a] is one of the state symbols ofBuryatia, together with theflag andcoat of arms of theRussian federal subject. It was first used unofficially for theBuryat Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, between 1983 and 1990 titled "Song of the Native Land"[b] with original lyrics in Russian.
The anthem was written by Buryat poetDamba Zhalsarayev,[1] while the music was composed by Buryat composer and music teacherAnatoliy Andreyev. It was adopted on April 20, 1995 with Law N121-I "On the State Anthem of theRepublic of Buryatia".[2]
Lyrics are official in bothBuryat[3][4] andRussian[5][6] languages. The translation of the lyrics in English is shown.
