Annaberg-Lungötz is a municipality in the district ofHallein, in theAustrian state ofSalzburg.
The municipality lies in theLammer River valley at the foot of theGosaukamm.
It belonged for centuries to thePongau. Only in 1896, whenHallein became a district capital, did the municipality become part of theTennengau.
One of its subdivisions, Annaberg im Lammertal, is a village notable fortourism. Located in theAlps, it is part of theDachstein West ski region. Summer activities available to tourists includemountain biking,paragliding,white water rafting, and walking holidays etc.
