Animal Ethics is an American nonprofit organisation based inOakland, California, founded in 2012 by Daniel Dorado,Oscar Horta, and Leah McKelvie. The organisation produces educational materials and carries out outreach onanimal ethics topics includingspeciesism,sentience,veganism andwild animal suffering, and describes its aim as extending moral consideration to all sentient beings. Animal Ethics produces educational materials about animal ethics and related topics, and describes its aims as promoting discussion and debate aboutanimal ethics and providing information and resources for animal advocates. Animal Ethics began publishing resources inChinese in 2018, and in 2020 it extended its outreach work toIndia and launched aHindi version of its website.[12][13] In 2024, it released an Arabic version of their website.[14]
In 2020 and 2021, Animal Ethics marked theWorld Day for the End of Speciesism by broadcasting online talks about speciesism in English, Portuguese and Spanish.[15][16]
Animal Charity Evaluators recommended Animal Ethics as one of its standout charities from December 2015 to November 2017.[17]
