The song was written byPat Monahan,Amund Bjørklund, andEspen Lind, and was produced by the latter two as well asButch Walker. It was released on June 9, 2014 as thelead single from the album.

The music video premiered on July 14, 2014 via the band'sYouTube channel,[2] and was officially released through theirVEVO account on July 15, 2014.[3] Directed by SCRANTON and Mel Soria, the video starsNew Girl actressHannah Simone as the titular angel,Danny Trejo as a heroic derivative of hisRobert Rodriguez characterMachete, and Train frontmanPat Monahan as a villainous sheriff.[4] The video is influenced by theSpaghetti Western film genre, and features Trejo lip-synching to the lyrics.[4]
