Andrew John Knight is an Australian TV writer and producer of film and television, known for his work onRake,Jack Irish,Hacksaw Ridge,Ali's Wedding andThe Water Diviner.
Knight co-produced and wroteThe Broken Shore, produced and wroteSiam Sunset for Artist Services, and wrote telemovieMumbo Jumbo. He has also been involved in many comedy shows, co-producing and writing forThe Fast Lane,Fast Forward,The D-Generation, and writing forFull Frontal. He was co-creator, principal writer and executive producer of the ABC dramaSeaChange.
In 1989, he co founded, withSteve Vizard, the production company Artist Services,[1] and in 2000, he formed Cornerstore Films, which has produced three major television series including the award-winningAfter The Deluge, which Andrew wrote and produced.
At the 2015AACTA Awards, Knight received theLongford Lyell Award for Outstanding Lifetime Achievement.[2]
