Andrei Sergeyevich Fetisov (alternate spelling: Andrey) (Russian:Андрей Сергеевич Фетисов; born 19 January 1972) is a Russian former professionalbasketball player.
President ofBC Spartak Saint Petersburg from September 2017 until 2020.
Fetisov was a second round pick of theNBA'sBoston Celtics, in the1994 NBA draft, at which time he was playing for the Spanish clubForum Valladolid.[1] After the draft, his draft rights were traded to theMilwaukee Bucks.[2]
He was a member of theFIBA European Selection team, in 1995.
Fetisov was a member of the seniorRussian national basketball team. With Russia, he won a silver medal at the1993 EuroBasket, a silver medal at the1994 FIBA World Championship, and a bronze medal at the1997 EuroBasket. He also played at the1995 EuroBasket, and the2000 Summer Olympic Games.[3]
From 2014 to 2014 he worked inBC Zenit Saint Petersburg as Head of the Selectors department.
Since September 2017 he was the President ofBC Spartak Saint Petersburg, until 2020, when it was dissolved due to the financial problems. He then was involved in re-establishing the club asBC Spartak Leningrad Oblast, in Luga district inLeningrad Oblast.
