Andrea Di Paola (born 1970) is an Italianastronomer and adiscoverer of minor planets.
He works at theRome Observatory and has been significantly involved in theCINEOS project.[2] He is credited by theMinor Planet Center with the co-discovery of 11 numberedminor planets during 1996–1997, all made in collaboration with Italian astronomerAndrea Boattini.[1]
The main-belt asteroid27130 Dipaola, discovered by Andrea Boattini andMaura Tombelli in 1998, is named in his honour.[2] Naming citation was published on 6 August 2003 (M.P.C. 49282).[3]
