Andre Debose (born September 12, 1990) is an American formerfootballwide receiver. He was a member of theOakland Raiders andIndianapolis Colts. He played college football atFlorida.
A native ofSanford, Florida, Debose attendedSeminole High School, where he was teammates withRay-Ray Armstrong. Debose helped Sanford to theFHSAA Class 6A title overTeddy Bridgewater'sMiami Northwestern by catching a 40-yard pass from Armstrong for the game-winningtouchdown in the final seconds.[1] He set the School record for the most return touchdowns and was tied for theSoutheastern Conference (SEC) record with 5.[2][3][4][5]
Debose was selected by theOakland Raiders in the seventh round, 221st overall in the2015 NFL draft.[6] He was expected to compete for thekick return job, however, he suffered a torn Achilles duringorganized team activities, which placed him on season-endinginjured reserve.[7] In his second year with the club Debose waswaived/injured on May 24, 2016.[8]
On July 30, 2016, Debose was signed by theIndianapolis Colts. He was waived by the club in mid-August only about two-weeks later.[9]
On February 2, 2017, Debose and theToronto Argonauts of theCanadian Football League (CFL) agreed to a contract.[10]
On May 23, 2017, Debose was placed on the Argonauts' retired list.[11]
