Andoorkonam is an area inTrivandrum city in the Indian state ofKerala.[1]
It is located approximately 20 km from theThiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station. Andoorkonam is noted for its reserves ofKaolinite (china clay).[2] The temple of Sree Ramadasa Ashram is nearby.[2]
As of the 2001[update] Indian census, Andoorkonam had a population of 14,736 with 7,147 males and 7,589 females.[1]
The village is surrounded byPallippuram to the north,Vembayam to the east,Vavara Ambalam to the west andKazhakoottam to the south.[2]
