Andersen (Danish pronunciation:[ˈɑnɐsn̩]) is aDanish-Norwegianpatronymicsurname meaning "son of Anders" (itself derived from the Greek name "Ανδρέας/Andreas", cf.EnglishAndrew). It is the fifth most commonsurname inDenmark, shared by about 3.2% of the population.[1]
