Anant Kakba Priolkar (1895 – 1973) was an Indianpolemicist, writer andpolitical activist. Born in 1895, he started writing while he was in school and his writing stopped only with his death. He was also elected as the President of theAkhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan held in 1951 atKarwar, Karnataka, India.[1] His bookThe Goa Inquisition (1961) remains his bestselling work.[citation needed] He also consideredKonkani as a dialect ofMarathi language. He died inMaharashtra in 1973.[citation needed]
