TheAnand Bhavan is ahistoric house museum inPrayagraj,India, focusing on theNehru family.[1] It was bought by Indian political leaderMotilal Nehru in the 1930s to serve as the residence of the Nehru family when the original mansionSwaraj Bhavan (previously called Anand Bhavan) was transformed into the local headquarters of theIndian National Congress.[2]Jawahar Planetarium is situated here, which has been striving to inculcate scientific temper among masses through its sky shows on astronomy and science.[3]

The residence was donated to theIndian government in 1970 by the thenPrime Minister of IndiaIndira Gandhi,[4] the granddaughter of Motilal Nehru[5] and daughter ofJawaharlal Nehru.[6]
