Amphilestidae is a family ofMesozoicmammals, generally regarded aseutriconodonts. They may form aparaphyletic orpolyphyletic assemblage, though they share withgobiconodontids their similar toothocclusion patterns and may be especially closely related to them.[1] They occur from theMiddle Jurassic toCenomanian,[2] and have a distribution acrossLaurasia.
The putative amphilestidTendagurodon is considered a non-amphilestid member of Amphilestheria along with the newly describedCondorodon by Gaetano and Rougier (2012).[3]
