Special Forces of the United States of America
United Statesspecial operations forces (SOF ) are the active and reserve component forces of theUnited States Army ,Marine Corps ,Navy andAir Force within theUS military , as designated by thesecretary of defense and specifically organized, trained, and equipped to conduct and supportspecial operations .[ 1] [ 2] All active and reserve special operations forces are assigned to theUnited States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM).[ 2] [ 3]
