TheAmbivali Caves, orAmbivali Leni, are a group of Buddhist caves nearNeral,Raigad district,Maharashtra, 8km southeast ofKalyan.[1][2] The caves are cut in the low hill located on the concave portion of a river.[3] They consist in 12viharas celles withverandah and several water cisterns. There is one inscription inBrahmi script on a verandah pillar.[4]
