Amalapuram is aScheduled Caste reserved constituency inKonaseema district ofAndhra Pradesh that elects representatives to theAndhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly inIndia .[ 1] It is one of the seven assembly segments ofAmalapuram Lok Sabha constituency .[ 2]
Aithabathula Ananda Rao is the currentMLA of the constituency, having won the2024 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election fromTelugu Desam Party .[ 3] As of 2019, there are a total of 229,431 electors in the constituency.[ 4] [needs update ] The constituency was established in 1951, as per theDelimitation Orders (1951) .
