Almoradí (Spanish pronunciation:[almoɾaˈði]) is a town andmunicipality located in thecomarca ofVega Baja del Segura, in the province ofAlicante, Spain, close to the mouth of theriver Segura. Almoradí has an area of 42.72 km² and, according to the 2011 census, a total population of 19,280 inhabitants; the latest official estimate (as at the start of 2020) is 21,208.[2] The economy of Almoradí is mainly based onagriculture (vegetables,fruits andlemons). The most important monuments in the city are theAncient Hospital and themill ofAlfeitamí.[citation needed]
