Almond Valley (Gaelic:Srath Amain) is acounty constituency of theScottish Parliament covering part of thecouncil area ofWest Lothian.[2] It elects oneMember of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) by theplurality (first past the post) method of election. Since the seat was created in 2011 it has also been one of nine constituencies in theLothianelectoral region, which elects sevenadditional members, in addition to the nine constituency MSPs, to produce a form ofproportional representation for the region as a whole. Following thesecond periodic review of Scottish Parliament boundaries, Almond Valley will form part of theCentral Scotland and Lothians West from the2026 Scottish Parliament election onwards.

The constituency was formed for the2011 Scottish Parliament election, covering muuch of the oldLivingston constituency. It is named for theRiver Almond which flows through Livingston. Since being formed the seat has been held byAngela Constance of theScottish National Party, who was formerly the MSP for Livingston.

The other eight constituencies of the Lothian region are:Edinburgh Central,Edinburgh Eastern,Edinburgh Northern and Leith,Edinburgh Pentlands,Edinburgh Southern,Edinburgh Western,Linlithgow andMidlothian North and Musselburgh. The region includes all of theCity of Edinburgh council area, parts of theEast Lothian council area, parts of theMidlothian council area and all of theWest Lothian council area.

From 2026, the other eight constituencies of the Central Scotland and Lothians West region will beAirdrie,Bathgate,Coatbridge and Chryston,Cumbernauld and Kilsyth,Falkirk East and Linlithgow,Falkirk West,Motherwell and Wishaw, andUddingston and Bellshill.[3]

Under the 2011-2026 boundaries, theWest Lothian council area has been represented by two constituencies in theScottish Parliament, Almond Valley andLinlithgow. The seat of Almond Valley replacedLivingston. Theelectoral wards ofWest Lothian Council used in its creation were:[2]

From 2026, West Lothian will be covered by three Scottish Parliament constituencies, Almond Valley,Bathgate andFalkirk East and Linlithgow, the latter also covering part of theFalkirk council area. When redrawn following the second review of Scottish Parliament boundaries, the following electoral wards were used to redefine the seat:[4]
