Allentiac (Alyentiyak), also known asHuarpe (Warpe), was one of theWarpean languages.[1] It was native toCuyo in Argentina, but was displaced to Chile in the late 16th century.Luis de Valdivia, aJesuit missionary, wrote a grammar, vocabulary and religious texts.[2] The people became mestizo and lost their language soon after.
Allentiac had the vowelsa, e, i, o, u, ù, withù probably representing[ɨ].
