Alhassane Sylla (born 24 August 1995) is a Senegalese retired professionalfootballer who playedleft-back for theSenegal national team.
A youth product of the Senegalese clubDiambars, Sylla began his senior career with them in 2011 and helped them win the2013 Senegalese Ligue 1.[3] In 31 July 2017, he moved to Portugal withUnião da Madeira in theLiga Portugal 2.[4] He went on loan toFamalicão for the 2018–19 season before returning to União, and in 2020 had a short stint withCova da Piedade.[1] On 23 September 2020, he joined the French clubAnnecy in theChampionnat National.[5] On 24 August 2021, he returned to Portugal withRio Ave.[6] After winning the2021–22 Liga Portugal 2 season with Rio Ave, on 4 July 2024 he signed withMoreirense on a 2-year contract.[1] A couple weeks into preseason with Moreirense, Sylla was sidelined with a ligament injury in his right knee.[7]
Born in Senegal, Sylla is of Guinean descent.[8] He was called up to theSenegal U20s for the2015 African U-20 Championship where they were finalists, and then played for the U20s at the2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.[9] He played for theSenegal U23s at the2015 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations.[10] On 10 February 2016, he debuted with the seniorSenegal national team in a friendly 2–0 loss toMexico.[5]
