Algarve Pro Racing (APR) is a Portuguesesports car racing team founded in 2010 by husband and wife Stewart and Samantha Cox. The team focuses on prototype racing, fieldingLMP2 entries in theEuropean Le Mans Series andIMSA SportsCar Championship, the latter in partnership withCrowdStrike Racing.[1][2] APR ran cars for the Russian endurance teamG-Drive Racing during the 2021 season, ending their partnership following theRussian invasion of Ukraine.[3]
Their list of alumni includes renowned sportscar driversAdam Carroll,Nicky Catsburg,Olivier Pla,Nick Tandy,Oliver Jarvis,Loïc Duval,Yifei Ye,Mikkel Jensen,Alex Lynn,René Rast,Ben Hanley, andJack Hawksworth, as well as former F1 drivers such asNyck de Vries,Pietro Fittipaldi andFranco Colapinto.[4]
Notable accolades include the2023 European Le Mans Series title, as well as LMP2 Pro-Am subclass victories at the2022 and2023 24 Hours of Le Mans.[5][6] As of 2025, they are also five-time champions of theAsian Le Mans Series, with titles garnered alongside CrowdStrike and G-Drive as well as under their own name.[7]
