Alfred Hamilton Williams (born November 6, 1968) is an American former professionalfootball player who was alinebacker anddefensive end in theNational Football League (NFL) for theCincinnati Bengals,San Francisco 49ers andDenver Broncos.
Williams played linebacker at theUniversity of Colorado at Boulder. He was aunanimous All-American pick in 1990, a consensus All-American in 1989 and the 1990Butkus Award winner.[1] Williams was also the Captain of the 1990 Colorado National Championship Team. He ended his career with theColorado Buffaloes with 263 tackles and 35 sacks.[1] In 2008, he was included on theCollege Football Hall of Fame ballot.[1]Then in 2010, he was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame.
Williams was selected by the Bengals in the first round (18th pick overall) of the1991 NFL draft.[2] He was a part of theSuper Bowl champion Denver Broncos in1997 and1998. He was selected as anAll-Pro defensive end in 1996.[1] He retired from the game after the 1999 season.
From 2006 to 2019, Williams served as an on-air personality for Denver sports radio stationKKFN. In February 2019, Williams left the station and signed withiHeartMedia,[3][4][5] where he began hostingKOA's new afternoon drive showBig Al & JoJo beginning September 3, 2019.[6]
