Alexander Lowry (born 23 June 2003) is a Scottish professionalfootballer who plays as amidfielder forEFL League One clubWycombe Wanderers.
Lowry is a product of theRangers youth system, having joined the club as a ten year old. He played in the junior and B team and signed a contract with the club until the summer of 2023.[2]
Lowry made his first-team debut for Rangers on 21 January 2022, in aScottish Cup match againstStirling Albion, coming on as a first half substitute forIanis Hagi.[3] He also scored the opening goal of the match in the 31st minute. Lowry then started the following match for Rangers, aScottish Premiership tie againstLivingston, playing the full match in midfield.[4] In May 2022, he signed a new contract with Rangers that is due to run until 2025.[5]
Lowry joinedHeart of Midlothian on loan on 4 August 2023.[6] The deal was due to run until the end of the 2023–24 season, but Hearts cut it short during January 2024.[7]
On 21 January 2025, Lowry signed forLeague One clubWycombe Wanderers.[8]
Lowry has played youth international football for Scotland atunder-16,[9]under-19[10][1] andunder-21 levels.[11] He received his first call-up to the Scotland under-21 squad in May 2022.[12] He made his debut for the under-21 team in November 2022, in a friendly againstIceland atFir Park.[13]
