Alexander Campbell Hunter (27 September 1895 – January 1984) was a Scottish professionalfootballer who played as agoalkeeper forQueen's Park,Tottenham Hotspur,Wigan Borough andNew Bedford Whalers.[2]
Born inRenfrew, Hunter began his career with local clubRenfrew Juniors before joiningQueens Park.[3] He joinedTottenham Hotspur and was a member of the1921 FA Cup Final-winning side. Hunter featured in 26 matches in all competitions for theLilywhites.[4] After leavingWhite Hart Lane in 1922 he moved on toWigan Borough, where he played in a further 39 games. Hunter briefly returned to Scotland to play forArmadale[3] before ending his career withAmerican Soccer League teamNew Bedford Whalers.[5]
