Alepidea peduncularis is an edibleperennialherb native to themontanegrasslands ofEast andSouth Africa.
The plant bears a flowering stalk about 70 cm in height, and abasal rosette of leaves with distinctively fringed margins.[1] The leaves are edible, and the roots are used in medicine.[2]
