Alberta Provincial Highway No. 627, commonly referred to asHighway 627, runs west to east through rural parts ofParkland County, beginning atHighway 759 about 12 km (7.5 mi) south ofSeba Beach and heads due east. The Parkland County portion is also known asGarden Valley Road. It takes the nameMaskêkosihk Trail (/mʌsˈkeɪɡoʊsiː/) as it entersEdmonton at 215 Street/Winterburn Road, before terminating atAnthony Henday Drive.[1] Portions of 23 Avenue and 184 Street NW between Winterburn Road and Anthony Henday Drive were renamed Maskêkosihk Trail in February 2016 to honour Cree heritage.[2][3]
