Meyong returned to Portugal and Belenenses in January 2008, netting thepenalty winner againstAssociação Naval 1º de Maio in a 2–1 home win[7] but, being this the third team he represented in the season, which went againstFIFA regulations, his registration was deemed illegal and Belenenses condemned to lose six points in the table (awarded 0–3 loss and three-point penalty in this match).[8] This led to fans of the latter assaultingdirector of football Carlos Janela before the decision was taken, with him also being immediately sacked.[9]
In August 2008, Meyong joinedS.C. Braga of the same league.[10] He scored his first goal for his new team on the 23rd, in a 2–0 defeat ofF.C. In late December 2011, Meyong was released by Braga after very little playing time in his last two seasons, along withRodrigo Galo,Marcos andFran Mérida.[17] After being linked toC.D. Nacional andC.D. Feirense[18][19] he eventually returned toSetúbal and Vitória, after seven years.[20]

After retiring at the age of 36, Meyong joined Vitória de Setúbal's coaching staff as an assistant.[24] On 28 October 2019, afterSandro Mendes' dismissal, he was namedcaretaker,[25] and held this post again next July between the resignation ofJulio Velázquez and appointment ofLito Vidigal;[26] his managerial debut was on 31 October, in a 1–1 draw atC.D.
