Alain Goldman, also known asIlan Goldman (born 12 January 1961), is a Frenchfilm producer.
Goldman was born inMontmartre,Paris, the son ofJewish parents. His grandfather was the first representative forUniversal Pictures in France, and his father, Daniel Goldman, was theDirector General ofUnited International Pictures.[1] After becoming active in theBetar movement, Goldman moved toIsrael when he was 18 years old.[1] He attended college there, before returning to France because he missed European culture.[1]
In 1992, Goldman founded the film companyLégende Entreprises for the production of his film,1492: Conquest of Paradise.[2][3][4] Subsequently, he produced multiple films, includingCasino,The Crimson Rivers,Crimson Rivers II: Angels of the Apocalypse,La Vie en rose,Babylon A.D.,Coco,The Round Up,The Man with the Iron Heart,The Mustang, andAn Officer and a Spy.
He is married to screenwriter and directorRoselyne Bosch[5] with whom he has two children.[1]
