Al-Barid (Arabic:البارد, also spelledal-Bared) is a village in northernSyria located in theQalaat al-Madiq Subdistrict of theal-Suqaylabiyah District inHama Governorate. According to theSyria Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), al-Barid had a population of 710 in the 2004 census.[1] Its inhabitants are predominantlyAlawites.[2]
